The HGA-6500 is a ruggedized version of the successful HGA-6000 and is designed specifically for external mounting on helicopters and slow flying aircraft. It outperforms every antenna in its class in terms of coverage, size, weight and gain, while meeting the full Inmarsat SDM. Due to its unparalleled performance and reliability it has already become the antenna of choice for 3 major helicopter OEM Satcom solutions.

The HGA-6500 is fully compatible with ARINC 781 and ARINC 741 compliant Aero-H/H+, Swift64and SwiftBroadband Satcom systems. It accepts steering commands directly from any ARINC 741 or 781 compatible satcom system via an ARINC 429 interface which eliminates the need to install an Antenna Control Unit (ACU) or Beam Steering Unit (BSU), thus reducing system unit count and weight.
